Longhair Kittens What is a Longhaired exotic? Well more and more there is tons of controversy on that subject. Are they just a Persian? Are they an Exotic? Can you show with them? Saaneaa Cattery has a stance on this subject as the following. I believe in the Long- haired Exotics but as a breed I believe that they need to be different then a Persian otherwise yes that is what they are. So our Longhaired we strive to get a silky smooth long coat without the undercoat of a Persian. No Longhaired Exotics can be shown through CFA at this point. There are those trying to fight this. You can still breed with them. I believe over time this will change just as the cat breeds have always progressed. The point of an Exotic is it is to be the "lazy man's Persian", so why would the coat be the same as a Persian? Come see and feel my longhairs and you will see and feel the difference. -Sue
