WHAT ARE EXOTICS?
Exotics are Persians bred to the American Shorthair. They have the facial features of the Persian, but not the extreme long hair.
These are considered THE LAZY MANS PERSIAN because you get all the great look of that Persian extreme face but you dont have ALL that long messy hair to comb daily.
Exotics are best kept indoors in an apartment or house. They were not made to be a outdoor alley cat. They are an esquisite creature, needing the basic creature comforts , cat post, cat nap pad, good food and loving parents.
There are also Long haired Exotics, but there long coats are not nearly the length or coat width of a Persian There is not a tangled undercoat to deal with or shaving them to a lioncoat. They have a teddy bear like coat that is soft and cuddly.
The exotics were created for the busy lifestyle. They have a quiet easy going nature, changes do not readily alert them. So they are good in most any environment. Wheather you work all day or have children the exotic is bred to not be nippy or tempermental as some other cats can be.
Exotics are extremly affectionate. The male always tend to be the ones who will follow you around the home watching you do your chores while the females will sit on your lap and play. They carry a personality more like a dog in the way that they will come to you, they will play with you, they will be your friend they do not carry that cat nature of you being on their time clock. They will greet you at the door and befriend you in every way.
I believe that the Exotic has become MAN'S new best friend, due to the temperment that has been created in this esquisite breed. Exotics are very comforting because they do not get pushy to get love, they do not need to be taken out regularly, they just overall do not require what other breeds of animals do. They are a low demand companion that will bring your life joy in every step of your journey.
Color choices that may be available in Shorthair and Longhair.
